Product Application of Ethylene Dimethacrylate CAS#97-90-5
EGDMA acts as a widely used crosslinking agent in the plastic and rubber manufacturing industries. It is applicable to ethylene-acrylic acid copolymers, ABS resins, acrylic plates and tubes, glass fiber reinforced polyester, PVC materials, ion exchange resins, smokeless powder coatings and glazing materials.
Polymers copolymerized with EGDMA gain greatly improved comprehensive performance, including higher hardness, superior thermal stability, weather resistance, solvent tolerance and abrasion resistance. Beyond that, this chemical is extensively utilized in the processing of artificial marble, dental raw materials and emulsion copolymers. It also serves as a functional additive in papermaking production, rubber peroxide curing modification, adhesive and ink manufacturing, as well as a professional crosslinker for optical polymer materials.
