Products Description of Cremophor (R) A25 CAS#68439-49-6
Cremophor (R) A25, with the INCI name Ceteareth-25, is a nonionic surfactant and emulsifier produced by the ethoxylation of C16-18 fatty alcohols with 25 moles of ethylene oxide. It appears as a white waxy solid in flake or granular form and is readily soluble in water, forming a clear solution, while also being compatible with ethanol and other polar solvents.
With a hydrophilic lipophilic balance of approximately 15.2-16.0, it acts as an efficient oil-in-water emulsifier, solubilizer and stabilizer for creams, lotions, gels and ointments, and is often used together with Ceteareth-6 to achieve optimized emulsion performance.

Product Application of Cremophor (R) A25 CAS#68439-49-6
Cremophor (R) A25 is widely applied as a multifunctional nonionic emulsifier across cosmetics, pharmaceutical and industrial fields.
In cosmetic formulations, it enables the preparation of stable oil-in-water emulsions for creams, lotions, sunscreens and gels, providing fine texture, good spreadability and long term stability, and also functions as a solubilizer for lipophilic active ingredients and fragrance oils. In pharmaceutical manufacturing, it is used as an emulsifying and stabilizing excipient in ointment bases and topical preparations. In the textile industry, it acts as a leveling agent and retarder in printing and dyeing processes, promoting uniform dye uptake. It also serves as an emulsifier in glass fiber production, a component of chemical fiber spinning oils, and an active ingredient in household and industrial cleaning agents.
With its high emulsifying efficiency at low dosage and broad compatibility, Cremophor (R) A25 is a reliable choice for formulators in diverse industries.
